New accounts

  • Lawyers listed on the Law Society of British Columbia website (Lawyer Lookup) may open an account. When the applicant places an order, the Courthouse Libraries BC employee will obtain their name, firm name (if applicable), address and telephone number. If this information is listed on Lawyer Lookup the order will be processed and the account will be opened.

Sales terms

  • Payment is due on receipt of the invoice.
  • Delinquent accounts will be placed on hold and new orders will not be processed until the outstanding amount has been paid in full.

Account payment methods

  • Courthouse Libraries BC will accept payment in cash, by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express), debit card (Vancouver and Victoria libraries only) or cheque.
  • Customers who have had an account balance of over 90 days may be asked to leave their credit card information on file in order to maintain their account privileges.

Opening and closing accounts

  • Courthouse Libraries BC reserves the right to refuse to open an account on the basis of credit risk. We also reserve the right to close an account in the event of write-offs or an increase in credit risk.

Customers ineligible for accounts

  • Customers who are not eligible for an account must pay for their order before it is delivered. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express), debit card (Vancouver and Victoria libraries only) or cheque.
