Supporting You in Practice

We are excited to bring you a number of skills based CPD opportunities, available to BC lawyers everywhere via webinar.

WestlawNext Canada: Tips and Tricks
Wed May 25 12:30-1:30pm (PDT)
Register here.

Maximize your use of WestlawNext Canada at Courthouse Libraries BC! Allison Bale of Thomson Reuters will help demonstrate some of the features that WestlawNext Canada has to offer with LawSource and CriminalSource, both available for free in all of Courthouse Libraries BC locations. By the end of this course, you will know how to use WestlawNext Canada's Finding Tools and the Canadian Encyclopedic Digest (CED), how to locate Texts and Annotations in CriminalSource and how to note up case law on WestlawNext Canada. We’ll also give you some tips for narrowing your search results and let you know how to access material outside the Courthouse Libraries BC's online subscription.

Participants in this course may claim up to 1 hour of CPD credits.

If you are interested in a small-group, in-person training session on WestlawNext in Vancouver, please contact us at training@courthouselibrary.ca

We also want you to know how to get the most out of your library space.  We'd love to invite you for a Library tour.
