Supreme Court of Canada decision: Liability on Manslaughter

The Supreme Court of Canada released the following decision:

R. v. Natewayes, 2017 SCC 5, File no. 36793

(Tasia Natewayes was charged with manslaughter in connection with a stabbing death that occurred during the course of a home invasion. The trial judge acquitted Ms. Natewayes of manslaughter but convicted her of break and enter for the purpose of committing an indictable offence.   We are all of the view that the appeal should be dismissed for the reasons of Chief Justice Richards in the Court of Appeal.)
