Help A Junior is a pilot project undertaken by the Courthouse Libraries in collaboration with senior members of the bar and the judiciary to support junior counsel in developing advocacy skills and connecting with mentors in the legal community.
The initiative will pilot a curriculum of mini-lectures, facilitate one-to-one mentorship meetings to assist juniors with complex files, and host a social opportunity for judges, senior lawyers, and junior lawyers to mingle and share knowledge.
There will be a focus on fostering:
- trial advocacy
- mediation skills
- client management skills
