Self-serve copying, printing & scanning

Our libraries are equipped with public computers and printers. Our larger libraries in Abbotsford, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, New Westminster, Prince George, Vancouver and Victoria also have public photocopiers. 

We charge fees for copying, printing and scanning in our larger libraries. Costs for these services can be found on the fees page

Copyright

Our copy services are an essential part of ensuring access to legal information and are administered in accordance with our Copyright Policy and the fair dealing provisions of the Copyright Act. Works protected under copyright may only be copied if authorized by:

  • for the purpose of fair dealing (s. 29) or under specific exceptions set out in the act;
  • the copyright owner (s. 13); 
  • a license agreement between this institution and a collective society or a tariff, if any.
