Standard Directions

Under the old BC Supreme Court Civil Rules: Rule 49(2) and (3), Form 59 or 59A.

Under the new (as of July 1, 2010) BC Supreme Court Civil Rules: Rule 18-3(3)(link is external), Form 73(link is external) or 74(link is external)

They refer to "the standard set of directions, in the form directed by the Chief Justice, governing the conduct of the appeal". There are only two.

FPD - 10(link is external): Standard Directions for Appeals from the Provincial Court pursuant to the s. 233 of the Family Law Act.

Before the change to the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules, it was called Family Practice Direction #8, and copies can be found in the B.C. Annual Practice (available in most courthouse libraries):
