New Service BC Mobile Service Centre

Service BC has a new Mobile Service Centre, which provides services to communities with technological or geographical barriers who might find it challenging to access Service BC locations. The Centre operates out of a van which has been converted to have private ‘office’ space and secure connectivity. The van can travel directly to communities, eliminating the need for travel or mobile/internet connection. The van will also be used to support people in emergency situations, such as wildfires or floods.

The Mobile Services Centre offers many of the same services of more traditional brick and mortar Service BC locations such as:

  • Renewing or replacing a BC driver’s license, BCID, or BC Services Card

  • Purchasing a marriage license

  • Ordering or changing a birth certificate

  • Applying for MSP

Individuals accessing services may need to bring government ID depending on the service they are accessing. All types of payment, including cash and cheque, are accepted.

Service BC will be continually updating their website with upcoming locations the Mobile Service Centre will be visiting—scroll to the bottom of the page to see the full list of dates and hours. Make sure to bookmark the page to check back in as locations are added!
