Seeking Feedback about Book & Programming Challenges

LawMatters and British Columbia Library Association are looking for your feedback! In anticipation of future training to support BC public libraries when responding to aggressive challenges to their collections and/or tense situations related to programming, BCLA and LawMatters have put together a survey to better understand your concerns and experiences.

Please take a moment to fill out the survey and let us know what types of challenges you’ve experienced and what you would like to see covered in this training. Even if you’ve been able to resolve these situations, your library’s process and experiences might be able to help other libraries facing similar situations with limited legal resources.

One of our goals is to create a toolkit to help public libraries, particularly rural or small municipal libraries, understand and feel confident in their legal rights and responsibilities.

We hope to hear from a range of library workers from public-facing staff to Directors – please forward it to your colleagues so they can also participate!

The survey will be open until the end of February. Thank you in advance for your participation!
