The Courthouse Libraries BC is proud to support Community Legal Assistance Society BC – SHARP and Stand Informed Legal Advice Services: Advising Complainants of Workplace Sexual Assault and Harassment on WorkSafeBC Claims.
Learn about how WorkSafeBC handles the prevention, investigation and compensation for workplace sexual assault and harassment. Kevin Love will discuss Workers Compensation Act (WCA) provisions that address workplace sexual assault and harassment through prevention, as a prohibited action, and with benefits and compensation. Kevin will also discuss issues to consider before filing a complaint or claim with WorkSafeBC, as well as benefits and challenges of pursuing these claims, WCA updates and provide practical considerations for lawyers assisting clients who are navigating this option.
