Starting November 1, 2025 the early resolution process will expand to the Vancouver (Robson Square), North Vancouver, Pemberton, Richmond and Sechelt registries and will apply to some Family Law Act applications including: parenting arrangements; child support; contact with a child; guardianship of a child; spousal support; and ownership or possession of a companion animal when families are separating. This approach is already available in Victoria, Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and New Westminster.
